Providing for People in Paisley funded a group of 28 Young Carers on a visit to M&D’s theme park on 30th July . Wristbands provided access to the outdoor rides.  All participants were offered a £5 gift card to secure a meal or chose to put the money towards purchasing foods from alternative onsite food vendors.

Pauline, The Young Carers Development Officer said

“I can honestly say the Young Carers had an amazing day out at M&D’s. All the young people who attended, picked to come on this day trip through active participation. Some learned they weren’t as adventurous as they had thought, and others learned they could push their levels of tolerance and went on the big rides again, and again, increasing confidence and sense of achievement. The most popular ride appeared to be the water ride.   The funding brought respite, fun, built relationships with safe adults, increased connections with peers who have a similar background and offered memories that will last a lifetime.”
